Steamed or sautéed, Maryland’s official crustacean has been nourishing the Chesapeake Bay since the earliest days of Native American life. The blue crab's scientific name –– Callinectes sapidus –– translates as "beautiful swimmer that is savory." 

Now tuck in your bib and behold this equally savory watch. Our Maryland Blue Crab has a shiny metallic dial (resembling the wet shell of the eponymous crab) and orange & red hands which mimic the colors of the female crab’s pinchers. But don’t worry: the only thing this watch will pinch is time.
