Local Pride. On Your Wrist.
We design men's watches inspired by the rich culture, diverse wildlife, and scenic geography of the Chesapeake Bay region.
Every purchase includes a $10 donation to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, a non-profit devoted to the protection & restoration of the watershed.
Authentic to the Bay
Our watches do more than tell time. They also evoke a way of life: a deep respect for the environment, crabs served on butcher paper, boat parties with friends both old and new, and stoic lighthouses silhouetted by radiant sunsets.
Whether you’re born and raised, or a tourist, or have yet to visit, Chesapeake Watch Co. invites you to embrace the Bay.
Testimonials
The design and color combination of the Eastern Oyster gives a touch of class, so it can be worn anywhere and still stand out.
The Crab Bake is a Chesapeake Bay inspired take on a classic design. The watch has become my daily driver.
Love my St. Michaels! Definitely recommend getting one. Strap is smooth and comfortable. And the dial itself super cool, almost 3D looking.

By November 2024 we expect to finish our "Commercial Co-Venture" paperwork with the CBF. This is a partnership that follows the Better Business Bureau’s guidelines on partnerships between for-profit and non-profit organizations where a portion of sales/profits/transactions is being donated to a non-profit.
Yes, follow our Instagram page @chesapeakewatchco to see the donation receipts, or contact the CBF directly.
The founder, Mike, has been a lifelong resident of the mid-Atlantic, at times calling Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania home. He counts his time living in Bel Air, Maryland and the inner harbor of Baltimore as his strongest touchpoint to the Chesapeake area.
There’s two reasons we don’t currently offer these:
Value: For our sub-$400 price point, high-quality steel bracelets are a rarity. When we find a worthy bracelet, we’ll offer it. As the company takes off and our manufacturing quantities grow, this will become more achievable.
Design: We promise that our watches will turn heads. A world of colors, textures, and details is opened up by using leather, silicone, sailcloth, and NATO straps. We enjoy offering an appealing strap whose color and texture fits with the inspiration behind the watch.
No! We don’t rely on generative AI programs like ChatGPT or Midjourney for any part of our watch design, watch descriptions, website creation, or photography. We can’t imagine the spirit of the Chesapeake region being represented by anything auto-generated by a computer.
